Story

A subtle and elegant brogue wingtip, the Hubbard Tipping Point is a favorite sporty-looking dress shoe in our Go to Work Collection.

Built on the Hubbard Vibram lightweight Morflex sole, these are supremely comfortable shoes that incorporate our triple-density leather comfort insole. The Hubbard insole supports and cushions your foot with every step and is easily removable if you wish to use your own custom orthotics.

The Tipping Point oxfords are cowhide leather lined from heel to toe and are silky smooth on the inside. These rich, soft leathers require no breaking in and come in a hand-waxed, satin finish. If you prefer a more brilliant shine, you can easily bring these to a bright luster using your favorite shoe cream. The wingtip design is beautifully set off by the genuine leather welting that trims the edges of the shoe.

I’m a bit cautious about buying shoes on line as i’ve experiences shoes that turn out not to be decent quality, or just don’t fit well. I threw caution to the wind and took a gamble on these and I’m very happy with them. They look like a pair of high end wing tips, but are the most comfortable ones I’ve owned. More comfortable than ones twice the price.

My first pair of SH shoes. Overall, I want to like them but they are extremely narrow across the widest part of the foot. I have always worn a normal width dress shoe for twenty years, so I feel it is the shoe that is abnormally narrow and not an issue with my foot. The stitching has begun to come loose because of the tight fit and will need to be repaired. Not cool for a $235 shoe. Also, the sole is wearing badly after less than a year and I am pretty easy on the shoes. No wonder they offer a sole replacement program at your expense.

Stepping off a plane, directly into a series of all-day meetings, then off to a long business dinner, and never switching footwear is a rather unique experience.
The Tipping Point is a rather unique business-turned casual-turned business shoe experience. I need another pair to ensure I never go without them!

Didn't like the loud color and had to tone it down with brown shoe polish.

I received my shoes about two weeks ago so I’ve had a chance to wear them a few times. They were very comfortable fight out of the box, with virtually no break in needed. It’s a very nice looking shoe and I’m finding my self using them more and more. Great job.
