SIZE GUIDE

Story

A subtle and elegant brogue wingtip, the Hubbard Tipping Point is a favorite sporty-looking dress shoe in our Go to Work Collection.

Built on the Hubbard Vibram lightweight Morflex sole, these are supremely comfortable shoes that incorporate our triple-density leather comfort insole. The Hubbard insole supports and cushions your foot with every step and is easily removable if you wish to use your own custom orthotics.

The Tipping Point oxfords are cowhide leather lined from heel to toe and are silky smooth on the inside. These rich, soft leathers require no breaking in and come in a hand-waxed, satin finish. If you prefer a more brilliant shine, you can easily bring these to a bright luster using your favorite shoe cream. The wingtip design is beautifully set off by the genuine leather welting that trims the edges of the shoe.

I work for a building departments and needed shoes to look professional in the office as well as provide traction when inspecting homes built into cliff sides, and walking the top edge of concrete forms to do rebar inspections.
These shoes look good enough to meet with the mayor and allow me to stick to slick spots like a well groomed limpet. With a spot of polish, the toes even hold up to the occasional army crawl under a building.
I found these to be the most comfortable dress shoes I have purchased in the last 25 years
After a year, my first pair blew a seam, and resignedly I looked into an alternative manufacturer. Before pulling the trigger on the alternative, I called the customer service line and asked what they could do for my year old shoes. They got replacements at my door in two days. This blew my mind. It may be a small, narrow, governmental mind, but it surely was blown. My shoes developed a defect after a year, and they replaced them. Some would argue that I got a fair year of use and that was that, but the folks at Samuel Hubbard back their product.
I have to make sure that hospitals, hotels and homes are all built right, so having someone make sure my shoes are built right is a matter of grave importance to me.
A solid foundation is a great way to start a project, and Samuel Hubbard’s customer service provides the foundation for their product, and their shoes provide a foundation for my work wear.
Approved, and five stars... gold ones.

This is my 2nd pair of Samuel Hubbards, and my only shoe from now on. I bought my first pair and walked in them during a European Vacation in 3 countries, with wonderful comfort. They even turned color during a rain....but dried to their original “brand new” look. Could not be more pleased with this 2nd pair of wing tips....great for casual, or dressed up look. Best built shoe I know of, and I’m 78 years old!

Love the look. Comfortable from the first day. They look great with my suit. My 3rd pair of Hubbard’s and not a false note in the bunch. They are light, but great support.

Bought my first pair..a brown brogue.. in a shoe store to be sure of size..and my second, the black pair, online. Both very comfortable , stylish, and well-priced. My only suggestion on the black "tipping point" is to offer a pair without the brown trim along the top of the sole. Black is more formal than my brown pair..I had the trim dyed black at my shoe repair shop, and it looks much better

My second pair of brogues (the other is light brown)..and thrilled to have bought them both..a rare combination of style, good pricing.. and comfort. Bought one pair in a store to be sure of my right size..and the second pair online. My only suggestion is offer the more formal black pair ("Tipping Point") without the light brown trim around the upper sole. I had it dyed black at my shoe repair store..and it looks much better..more formal and less sporty

I bought my first pair of Hubbards for my daughter's upcoming wedding at the end of the month. After reading so much about the brand (I'm an Ecco guy), I decided to give "Tipping Point" a try. Right out of the box, they fit like a glove with really no need for any type of break-in prior to the wedding. These will also pair well with jeans (I also bought a matching Hubbard belt) and look forward to additional purchases in the future.

I am a 3rd year medical student. I'm on my feet 12 hrs a day. This is my 3rd pair of shoes from Samuel Hubbard.
I own the Founder, Tipping point, and Rainy Day Founder.
I'm going to review all of them here as one shoe as they are basically all the same.
These shoes are well made, leather is comfortable and the heel of the shoe is soft/squishy so it takes much of the impact as you walk. The only thing that I actually don't like is the insole which could arguably be the most important thing. The insole can break or make a shoe and I honestly don't find this one that comfortable.
But I realized that if I just replace the Samuel Hubbard insoles with a "Dr. Scholl's WORK Massaging Gel Advanced Insoles" then that's when these shoes become the most comfortable shoes on the planet and that's why I own three of them. This combination is the best thing since sliced bread.
The reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because I shouldn't have to pay $245 + tax = $265 but still have to buy my own $10 insoles to make it more comfortable. This shoe should already be the most comfortable thing even on it's own.

I am a public school administrator and get ten thousand steps by the end of the day. My feet never hurt with Samuel Hubbard shoes. I only wear one other brand faithfully, but Samuel Hubbard's customer service beats out everyone else. I'll always pay the extra price to support the quality, comfort, and customer service of Samuel Hubbard.
