Overall Review
I was extremely happy to have the Rainy Day Founder come out in a wide width. I have several pairs of more casual shoes which fit very well. After reading reviews I was concerned that the shoes would still be too small, in width or toe box. The width appears to be the same as it is for Frees, Fasts, & 24/7s. The toe box might not be quite as high; however, I've had no issues with it. Overall, the shoe is very comfortable and looks great--a vast improvement over other attempts at dress shoes which have looked horrific with a nice suit/ trousers. I will soon have a chance to see how the Davos ice technology works. New England winters offer much ice and many opportunities to slip. I don't imagine anything can completely prevent one from slipping on ice, but anything that reduces the risk is a godsend. For those concerned about fit because of reviews, I would recommend you try them. If you're really worried, you can always talk to a nice person in customer service who can advise you and is happy to help. They have one of the best customer service teams I've encountered--always respectful & helpful, and never rude.

An amazing shoe that gathers as much attention as it is comfortable. I love my shoes!! People are always commenting on how nice my shoes look and I tell them the only thing better is how comfortable they are. As an international pilot, I wear them for many hours a day, under incredibly harsh conditions. The sole of my previous pair started to come loose at the toe after 6 months so I called up and this stand up company immediately replaced the shoes. My new shoes were waiting for me when I got back from my trip. I can't recommend the company and the shoes enough.

Haven't had used them much yet, but they seem like great shoes: well made, solid, comfortable, functionally sound. Not as casual looking as I'd prefer.

I really like my Rainy Day Founder shoes! They are very well made and are comfortable to wear. Throughout the course of an average workday, my job as a facility manager requires me to do a great deal of walking. I may need to go up on the roof in the rain or trek through a muddy trail in our woods. I needed a good looking shoe that would hold up to unusually harsh conditions, and they have done so. However, there was a problem with the sole. I brought it to your attention and you made it right by me. Thank you very much!

The soles grip exactly as advertised. They’re soft though and can wear out quickly. Customer service is outstanding! I have two pairs of Hubbard’s and intend to buy more

I really like these shoes. They are so comfortable and the goretex is necessary in New York because it rains a lot especially in the spring!

While shoes looked kinda clunky, I would have kept them - but they were too narrow even though they were wide width. I have two other pairs of SH shoes and I wear them 80% of the time - so I was going to add to my collection- but sadly the size of these do not equal the size of others. Loved the sole!

Have worn the 24/7 for a while, wanted to try the Davos sole on this shoe - have several slippery spots at work and this sole is like wearing track spikes, I only wish they offered it on all Hubbards! The founder fits a tad snug for width, but other than that is another incredibly comfortable shoe. I wore them all day right out of the box, was on my feet all day and never had any spots that hurt or needed a 'break in' period - shoe is soft and supple from the start.

I love my original founders . Perhaps because the sole is wearing down and slipping a bit I decided to get the rainy day founder. My left foot is bit bigger and at the end of the third full day of use the left little toe is still being scrunched a bit. Otherwise these are great shoes. Every one I see wants to know what they are and who makes them.
I think I will try the slightly wider toe on the market cap shoe next.
