Premium full grain leather uppers provide ample protection from the elements. Full glove-leather lining delivers buttery soft feel and eliminates pressure points.

For those who know the Hubbard brand, think of these as version 2.0 of the Hubbard Boot Up. For the uninitiated, it’s our sleeker take on the classic desert or chukka with a padded tongue that will make you say, "Ahhhh." Next, throw in the Hubbard Comfort System insole that's part art, part science, and all,Triple-Density memory foam insole, topped in silky smooth leather. Easily removed if you wish to use your own orthotics.

We added a GORE-TEX® membrane to keep your feet comfy and dry, regardless of the conditions. So comfortable that they will become your go-to shoes—rain or shine.

Waterproof comfort plus looks
These shoes exceed my expectations. First, the Vibram sole and the padded sole create a comfortable feel. I can wear them for hours. Second, the waterproof aspect makes them great if you live somewhere with a fair amount of snow and rain. Finally, persons in the office compliment the look of these boots.

Very attractive shoes. As others have said heels are a problem (painful). Shoes lose their shoelace tightness quickly and thus slip. You will have to retie the shoes constantly if walking for more than 10 minutes. Best suited for minimal walking distance (somewhat defeats point of gortex, rough weather shoes!) For just under 300 bucks I would expect far more comfort. Most expensive shoes I've ever bought, yet break in time is clearly going to be VERY long. If your feet are not really tough (mine are not) I'd suggest looking for something else.

Versatile Boots
From rainy days to nights on the town, these boots can handle pretty much anything thrown their way.

The Gore-Tex membrane does an excellent job of keeping your feet dry and cozy in the worst of weather (I live in Chicago) and the premium full grain leather pairs equally well with jeans or dress pants.

The toe box is a little stiff compared to other boots in the Samuel Hubbard line, but the shoe breaks in nicely while retaining its elegant look.

A very welcome addition to my growing Samuel Hubbard collection.

Beautiful shoes
These were beautiful but I had to return them. One of the shoes seemed to fit too loose above the ankle when compared to the other shoe.

Beautiful shoes that hurt my feet
These are good looking shoes, beautifully crafted from first-rate materials. They were as close to fitting well as could be, but the shape of the shoe was such that it pressed on my painful big toe joint and significantly increased the pain in that joint. With regret, I had to return the shoes because I could not wear them without pain. For anyone without the joint problem, I'm sure they're excellent shoes.

Rainy day boot
Great craftsmanship, however the boot is a A little stiff. Probably will be be more comfortable as the shoe gets broken in to my feet. I purchased the boot as I am building an apartment development in Portland and bought the boot for the gortec waterproof characteristics .

Worth the agony
TERRIBLE heel blisters to start (brand new and tight but I had to wear them - only pair I had). One week later...perfect. Comfortable and impervious to the snow and slush I’ve waded through for the past 4 days. Definitely going to try other styles. (Would be nice if the dressier water-proof styles came in other colors than black)
