Great shoes
This is my 5th pair of Hubbard’s. I got these shoes for traveling and walking and they are wonderful. I definitely recommend Hubbard shoes for everyone.

great return policy
Had to return a pair almost a year after purchase. They were no hassle and had the new pair out fast. These fit right. They look good. I get compliments every time I wear them. Yah!

Back of heel rides too high
These are great looking shoes made well from good materials, like all the Hubbards I own. However, I sent them back immediately after trying them on. The top edge of the back of the shoe is quite stiff and rides very high up...it pressed hard into my Achilles tendon and was not just uncomfortable but actually painful with every step. It's at least half an inch higher than on my other Hubbards.

Comfortable leisure shoes
Having arthritis in my toes, I find walking painful at times. These shoes have been a good answer for me. I find that I can wear them all day comfortably. They are very good for walking and have broken in quickly. They just keep getting better. I have gotten several compliments on their looks.

The first pair of Hubbard Free were a half size large - my fault. I called customer service, returned the shoes, and reordered the same style a half size smaller. Great shoes, great fit, and great customer service. I'll be buying more shoes from Hubbard.

great looking, well made
I used your on line printable sizing chart very carefully according to the directions. My bare foot big toe was just short of the size 13 line. That is the size ordered. The toe box seems a bit oversize but I feel sure that a size 12 1/2 might be just a bit small. Also, I will probably never wear these with any socks other than my thick Wigwam wool socks. I'm thinking all will be just fine once they are broken in. Thanks

Not comfortable enough to keep
Other Hubbard shoe models look comfortable, these were not. Less comfortable than the other shoe brands I buy lots of.

Fresh in The Country
A nice pair of shoes, comfortable and well made. My review scores are tempered by no knowledge of what the shoe was designed to do: city shoe or country shoe?? I live in the country, and the welt and sole are great , but the lack of waterproofing is criminal in the country. A slightly stiffer counter would be useful. Toe box is excellent and protective. Vibram Kletterschuh sole was on my first pair of Pivetta Cortina hikers in the 1960s, and remains a favorite. Supremely comfortable to the extent they could be a little stiffer for people like me with bad knees stumbling around in pastures and trails with bird dogs. Thanks. Good looking shoe for sure.
