SIZE GUIDE

Story

This classic 5 eyelet oxford has an air of authority and complements a fine pair of dress slacks or your favorite tailored blue jeans.

The genuine leather welting, the waxed laces and the refined eyelets highlight the soft leather uppers that require no breaking in. We finish the shoes with a satin wax but you can also bring them up to a brilliant shine with your own favorite shoe polish.

The Founder is fully lined with cowhide glove leather and we don't use any glue between the uppers and the linings so that the shoe breathes naturally and the shoes conform to your foot.

The Founder comes with our triple density orthotic that uses Poron memory foam and a vegetable tanned leather covering which is healthier for your feet.

The combination of soft leathers and our Hubbard Vibram soles make walking in these shoes as comfortable as your favorite running shoes. For the man on the go or for long hours sitting these light and springy shoes are the perfect Go to Work shoe.

Overall Review
I had purchased a pair of Founders in black at a local store, they were comfortable right out of the box there was no break in necessary. A couple of months later decided I needed a pair in brown. These shoes are well finished and very comfortable. Nice to buy shoes that aren’t made in China.

Generally quite pleased. Great quality, had a little break in period and in the rotation now. Would prefer a bigger toe box.

My first pair of Hubbards have been one of the best pair of shoes I’ve purchased. Very comfortable and great looking. I have a wide foot, and the sizing guide said to order wide. Unfortunately they were not wide enough. Customer service, on a Saturday, was helpful and friendly, and the return was easy and free. The xtra-wide pair I then ordered fit perfectly. Great experience all around.

These are great shoes! The quality and comfort are top of the line. I have worn Cole Haans and Eccos, which are very good shoes, but these are a step above. It's rare to find a great combination of comfort, durability, and style. In addition, the customer service is phenomenal. I had a slight defect and they took care of it, no questions asked, and they sent the new pair to my hotel while traveling. I am a customer for life. It's a boutique experience from a major brand.

I now own 6 pairs of Samuel Hubbard shoes, and I find their products and service to be first-rate. I recently ordered two pairs of shoes to be gifted to a friend, but the friend gave me an incorrect shoe size. I talked to customer service which took back the shoes, and they provided me with re-sized the shoes which were delivered to me in 3 days. Outstanding and courteous service always.

As a retiree, I no longer need dress shoes, but I still dine out regularly, and even though I literally live in jeans, I decided to to try the semi-casual Founders as my City shoe - and glad I did. The inner sole is snug, soft and supportive. The shoe is new and a little stiff, but the leather appears to be of a quality that will allow some “give” as time goes on. Every bit as comfortable as my ( similar ) Cole Hahns, but will likely be more durable - based on the rugged sole and glove leather lining.

I bought these primarily for the comfort many have reported. Honestly I was expecting a shoe that looked a little "clunky". They are much better than I expected in the looks area - a little slimmer and more refined. I was concerned about comfort at first - the tongue seemed stiff and hurt the front of my foot. However, within a hour of wearing them the first time the stiffness was gone and they are now very comfortable. The shoes are well made and they seem as if they will hold up well. The brown leather contrast on the black is the key to making them flexible in use - they look good in the office or with jeans. My only complaint is that they make a "clopping" sound with every step. I attribute this to the stiffness of the sole and they shoe snapping back quickly after flexing. Perhaps they will loosen up some with wear. Anyway, great shoe.

I wear 7.5 to 8 in most shoes and found that an 8 in the Founder fit me best. Leather was a little stiffer than I would have thought, but broke in really fast. After a short break-in period this is the most comfortable dress shoe I have ever owned. Will definitely be buying another pair (Royal Scot) of Samuel Hubbards.......thanks so much
