Story

Introducing Camplight. 80-or-so years back, an outdoor enthusiast on the eastern seaboard set out to craft a shoe that mimicked the sewing techniques found in traditional Native American moccasins. With hand-sewn uppers, adjustable top laces and flexible rubber soles, the summer classic was dubbed "the camp moc." Our 4-season take on this has a leather lining for sockless comfort, and the lug sole gives this former summertime staple year-round utility. In short, it’s your new "go-to" that crosses the country and the calendar. Work or play? Sport coat or t-shirt? Either way, you’ll be one happy camper.

Comfortable nice looking shoe
Only complaint was the shoelace on one of the shoes broke after 4 months
They are difficult to replace as they have deck shoe lacing
Samual Hubbard sent me a new pair of shoes to replace, that’s customer service!

Longtime Sperry Topsider fan, but after enjoying Hubbard Founders gave Camplight a try. Excellent choice. Fit and finish spot on. A bit pricey but good value.

I now own both the black and brown and love them. I believe they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I seldom wear socks and can still wear them all day.

Felt great out of the box, amazing build quality, look great for fall. After about 3 miles of city walking formed painful blisters on pinky toes. Never had this issue before with any shoe.

Hoping they break in and this goes away. A lot to spend for discomfort. I have a medium width and SH rainy day Founder's in same size and do not have an issue, this are the most comfortable shoes ever. Recommend to test width out before walking any distance...

I purchased these to replace a pair of boat shoes I had for years. I can wear the SH all day and my feet still feel good from the excellent support. The inside of the shoe is so well finished with fine leather that they feel great without socks.

Shoe has a nice, casual appearance. As with most Samuel Hubbard's they are very comfortable. A little pricey for a deck shoe, but probably worth it

The quality and stitching is top quality as are the look and feel. I have a slightly flatter arch and these dont offer much support in that regard. The sides rub up against the bottoms of my ankle bones as well.

Product Questions

Are Camplight shoes summer shoes? Is sole as spongy as other shoes? is it denser & lasts longer? People learn from low reviews too pls show. Thanks 06.14.18
Hello! The Camplight is a summer shoe, although, we think it would be great year round as well. The sole is a rubber blend lug sole that is durable, flexible and offers sturdy traction. Reviews for this shoe are posted daily. Simply click on the stars just above the image of the shoe, or you can scroll down below the shoe information to view customer reviews.
What do a pair of Camplight's weigh? 06.18.18
Thank you for your question. A pair Camplight shoes in a size 10.5M weighs 1lb 12.5 oz.
Could you please compare the New Endeavor with the Camplight shoe , e.g., use, sizing differences, if any, best use, weight etc. Thanks 09.29.18
Thank you for your inquiry. The New Endeavor is one of our boat shoes. It weighs one pound. It comes with a custom no-slip shock absorbent rubber sole. The Camplight weighs 14.6 ounces. It comes with more of a lug sole. Both are suitable for outdoor wear, the New Endeavor is a better option if you will be on wet surfaces.
