SIZE GUIDE

Story

Introducing Camplight. 80-or-so years back, an outdoor enthusiast on the eastern seaboard set out to craft a shoe that mimicked the sewing techniques found in traditional Native American moccasins. With hand-sewn uppers, adjustable top laces and flexible rubber soles, the summer classic was dubbed "the camp moc." Our 4-season take on this has a leather lining for sockless comfort, and the lug sole gives this former summertime staple year-round utility. In short, it’s your new "go-to" that crosses the country and the calendar. Work or play? Sport coat or t-shirt? Either way, you’ll be one happy camper.

Sizing

The Camplight was designed to give you a generous fit with plenty of room for your toes. If this is your first pair of Hubbards, you'll likely find them true to size.

*If you already wear a shoe from our Casual Outdoor collection, you'll wear the same size in the Camplight.
*If you already wear a shoe from our Dress Collection these may feel slightly roomier in the toe box.

Overall Review
An excellent shoe! Runs slightly large, but not enough to go down by half a size. I have had a number on the Camplights after having them for two weeks.

Received these shoes, and fell in love with the look, but having ordered the saddlebag tan, due to a warehouse mixup, I got the black ones. Within minutes on a Saturday morning, Stormie, the rep I chatted with, confirmed my original order, and processed a replacement, as well as a return. Haven’t even tried them on, but if they’re like my other pairs of Hubbards, they’re going to be fantastic. I cannot say enough good about the customer care from this company. This level of service just doesn’t exist in most places, and it is very refreshing. I am a S. Hubbards customer for life!

This is my 11th pair of Samuel Hubbard's. The Camplight is just as good as the others. The reviews scared me a little. Customers were saying they are a squeaky shoe. The shoe is NOT squeaky, except when worn on a wooden floor. It's not the shoe that squeaks, it's the Vibram sole on the wooden surface. It doesn't squeak on any other surface, so it's not the shoe.
I wore it this weekend at a hockey tournament. It was perfect, like putting on a broken-in shoe. rich feeling and soooo comfortable.

Overall Review
A very well made shoe that is extremely comfortable and made with excellent craftsmanship. The name of the shoe says it all. These shoes are extremely light. Unfortunately the sole material is so light that it makes the shoe feel a bit unsteady and delicate when wearing on uneven ground.

I prefer a true heavy rubber sole, such as Vibram. No worries, I just sent the new shoes off to Resole Patrol, which is listed on the Samuel Hubbard "Support" web page and they are setting me up with new Vibram soles. The shoes will then be PERFECT! I'm sure the Vibram sole would result in a higher price point, but given the quality and comfort of these shoes I'd pay it gladly.

For some folks the light sole may be perfect and more slipper like. For me (a big guy-size 13) I like a more robust shoe that I know will be more balanced and tough.

I marked it down from a 5 to a 4 (really a 3.8) due to the sole challenge.

Finally, Samuel Hubbard's Customer Service was great and they were happy to direct me to Resole Patrol.

As with almost all the Samuel Hubbard shoes, these are supremely comfortable right out of the box. I need a wide width and roomy toe box. These shoes fit that description and will be great casual walking shoes. They look good enough to wear with casual dress up.

I haven't worn my new shoes yet, but they seem to be made of high quality material, soft and pliable. The service from the Samuel Hubbard staff seems to be top notch, too - professional and pleasant, customer oriented.

Beautifully made shoes using gorgeous materials which are extremely comfortable to boot. A great evolution of the traditional version of this casual shoe. I bought two colors. Wish there were more colors!

Overall Review
I bought a pair of both the Tan and Black Camplight ,and I was so suprised at how comfortable they were, but the craftmanship, style and how beautiful the shoe looks, is what got me. Was a GREAT investment to my feet. Yes they're pricey, but well worth it. Will most likely buy another style of Hubbards.

Hello! The Camplight is a summer shoe, although, we think it would be great year round as well. The sole is a rubber blend lug sole that is durable, flexible and offers sturdy traction.
