Turkey Burn: Top Post-Thanksgiving Hikes

Feeling like a stuffed turkey? Avoid that post-Thanksgiving slump with some of these top walks around the country. They’re so beautiful you’ll forget you’re even exercising!  

Hollyridge Trail, Los Angeles, California (1.2 miles)

Looking for a moderate hike in the Los Angeles area? The Hollyridge trail offers scenic views of downtown LA, the Hollywood Hills and Hollywood Hills sign. Not only will you be burning calories, but you may bump into some celebs along the way!

Carrol Rim Trail, Painted Hills, Oregon (1.6 miles)

 The Carrol Rim Trail is another moderate out and back hike that’s great for the whole family. This area, known as the “Painted Hills,” is unlike any other place on earth in that the hills look like they’re painted. Don’t forget to take your camera for some incredible photos!

Central Park, Manhattan, New York (3.8 miles)

New York is a wonderful place to walk off all those extra calories! All of the holiday decorations are up and Central Park turns into a winter wonderland. Be sure to check out the ice skating rink for some extra exercise and fun!

If everything really is bigger in Texas like they say, then you’ll love the length of this 4+ mile walk around the lake. It’s the perfect place to spend an afternoon post-Thanksgiving with the whole family.

Tidal Basin and Hains Point, Washington D.C. (5.4 miles)

Live in the Washington D.C. area? You’ll love this 5+ mile loop trail that takes you around some of the most famous sites in the city. The fall foliage makes this walk even more special in during the holiday season!
