We partnered up with local a local San Francisco Bay Area photographer and videographer, Eric Snow, to produce this incredible time-lapse video of our Mt. Tam hiking boots on top of Mount Tamalpais (Mt. Tam) in Marin County, California. It's the exact spot these boots were named after!
Just 20 minutes north of San Francisco, Mt. Tam reaches a peak of 2,572.’ On a clear day, you can see all of the Bay Area and even the Sierra Nevada a couple hundred miles to the east.
To reach the summit, you can either drive up a long, windy road (which often gets crowded during weekends), or opt to hike to the top. It’s a 14.8 mile out-and-back trail, but the view makes it all worth it!
For those feeling less adventurous, the Mount Tamalpais State Park offers over 6,300-acres of undeveloped woodlands, lakes, meadows and over 50 miles of trails. Check out some of our favorite hiking trails here.
