Samuel Hubbard’s passion for shoemaking goes back many generations. It all started in the 1930’s with Samuel Katz’s shoe factory in New Hampshire: Hubbard Shoe factory. Today, Samuel’s grandson Bruce Katz combines his years of shoemaking knowledge with an obsessive approach to quality, and gives a nod to his grandfather’s name and factory to produce Samuel Hubbard shoes. They are designed in California and handcrafted in Portugal by master craftspeople. At Samuel Hubbard, comfort engineering is at the heart of how we design and build our shoes. Add in inspiration, a touch of magic, and a whole lot of love and you have the world’s most comfortable shoe.
